P: Posters influences

I looked at these japanese horror film posters and found that may use the colour red for text such as title and white for taglines or sub headings which are positioned typically on the side of the posters aligned vertically. I also found they tend to have lost of close ups of the eye, face, villain or a iconic weapon which is conventional is both western and japanese horror genre. The dark backgrounds contrast with the text making it appealing to the eye and the japanese text that looks like dripping front gives the effect of blood already appealing to the horror genre. This influenced me when creating my own horror poster, I took into account these conventions.
